Most of you know that I believe in a systematic study of the Word of God.  My sermons are expositional: that is reading the text, and giving meaning and making application of the text.

I plan well in advance, so that I can read and re-read the scriptures.  I want to saturate myself in the biblical text, and give the Holy Spirit ample opportunity to change my heart before I preach to all of you.  I have prayerfully sought God’s advice in planning the preaching schedule.  I desire to preach that which our church needs to hear the most.  I am firmly impressed that God would have me teach and preach the book of Revelation.

If you will study with me the Book of the Revelation, you’re in for a blessing, for it is the blessing book (Revelation 1.3).  Our church needs that blessing!  What a marvelous time we’re going to have together! And, incidentally, the devil does not want us to do this. The devil doesn’t want you to hear these messages, and the devil doesn’t want me to preach these messages. There are two books in the Bible that the devil especially hates: Genesis and Revelation. I’ll tell you why the devil hates the Book of Genesis and why the devil hates the Book of Revelation: In the Book of Genesis, the devil’s doom is pronounced; in the Book of Revelation, it is carried out. And, the devil doesn’t like these two books!

How long will this series take?   I am giving one full year to the exposition of the book of Revelation!  This study is that important!   Those who attend the Wednesday Evening Adult Bible Study will participate in the lecture series, “Living on the Edge of Eternity.”  It will be 45 minutes of solid biblical instruction.  On Sunday mornings, I will go deeper, and preach this amazing Bible book with all the strength that the Holy Spirit can generate in me.

Your responsibility is read through the book of Revelation daily!  Let it saturate your mind and heart.  Reading a chapter a day for the next year will take you through the book of Revelation at least 16 times!

It is also your responsibility to spread the word about this great opportunity.  Many of the people you know and love don’t know that they are “Living on the Edge of Eternity.”  The end of all earthly things may be near, but Christ is victorious!  If your guests will attend with you to hear the first message, “The Blessing Book,” on Sunday September 4, I BELIEVE THEY WILL RETURN TO HEAR THE REST OF THE SERIES.

Why am I so confident?  This study is changing my life.  I believe it will change yours.  Let your hearts be lifted up.  Be encouraged.  God is doing wondrous works as He, Jesus, prepares us for the day of eternity.
